Stronghold Kingdoms

Stronghold Kingdoms is a multiplayer role-playing game.

Stronghold Kingdoms was created by Firefly Studios with the goal of players setting up their own kingdoms to grow and defend. The game works mostly through strategy, and offers a very comprehensive tutorial about stronghold building, how to create troops, and dealing with the kingdom's natural resources.

Players are presented with a number of options for how they play the game. Stronghold Kingdoms lets players choose what sort of king to be - fierce and war-like or benevolent, plundering or more progressive, and more. Players may create alliances and trade with other players or plan to invade adjacent kingdoms. Each game has the potential to be unique from any other, and a card system allows players to get new or different resources and accessory items.

To play Stronghold Kingdoms requires a Windows PC with 512 MB RAM, 150 MB hard-drive space, a screen resolution of 1024 x 768, and DirectX9.

Firefly Studios released several in the Stronghold Series, including Stronghold, Stronghold 2, Stronghold Crusader, Stronghold Crusader Extreme. Stronghold Legends was actually published by 2K Games as was the Stronghold Collection. The collection edition features five games and offers to joust, feasts, public executions, and festivals throughout the games. The Stronhold Collection had a bit of coding work done to it, and thus is Windows Vista and 7 compatible.

Stronghold Kingdoms was released in 2007 as a massive multiplayer online strategy game. Over the next four years, the game would be beta tested until its final release in October of 2012 when it was made available to the public. There are several distinct areas in which players can immerse themselves, including the construction and design of the castle, economy, military, architectural, agricultural, industrial and political challenges and story lines. Set in medieval times, the success of the game does not depend on linear skill so much as strategic and creative thinking applied during situations created by the virtual world's large number of players.

There are five 'ages' or levels which players can progress through during the Stronghold Kingdoms game, these include twelve Englisih speaking 'worlds' available on the Stronghold Kingdoms game server.
